Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available within the Research Triangle area of North Carolina, primarily serving schools located in Central and North-Central Durham. This contract position involves supporting an approximate caseload of 30-40 students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. The roles schedule aligns with school hours, varying by educational level:
* Elementary: 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM
* Middle: 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM
* High: 9:15 AM to 4:15 PM
Responsibilities:
* Provide physical therapy services to students across approximately 5 to 9 schools, with some schools requiring fewer visits each month.
* Collaborate with school staff to support student mobility, physical function, and overall participation in school activities.
* Adjust caseload and service delivery based on evolving district needs and student requirements.
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district and state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Active Physical Therapy license in good standing is required.
* Prior school-based physical therapy experience is mandatory.
* Ability to manage a diverse caseload of varying ages within a school setting.
* Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Location: Research Triangle area, focusing on Central and North-Central Durham, NC.
Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday through Friday aligning with school bell schedules.
This position involves on-site work and requires availability for prescreen interviews, which may be scheduled between 9:00-11:00 AM and 2:00-3:00 PM Eastern Time with some flexibility.
