Physiotherapist Level 7 – Head of Department – Coastal Network

This role provides a unique opportunity to deliver physiotherapy care to patients in the community, focusing on preventing hospital admissions and supporting recovery. You will work across acute or ED wards, Hospital in the Home (HiTH), and other community care settings. Clinical areas include post-illness, falls, surgical rehabilitation, and respiratory, cardiac, and pulmonary care.

You will join a skilled team of Allied Health Professionals and collaborate closely with the Bathurst Physiotherapy Department, Medical Ward, Ambulatory Care, and HiTH Teams, contributing to a patient-centred, community-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality physiotherapy care in community and acute care settings

Minimise hospital admissions through timely interventions

Support rehabilitation in respiratory, cardiac, and pulmonary care

Collaborate with allied health teams, medical staff, and community outreach services

Build long-term relationships with patients to improve health outcomes

About You

Qualified Physiotherapist with current AHPRA registration

Experience in community, acute, or post-acute care preferred

Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to patient-centred care and evidence-based practice
