*Job Summary*
The AACE has a fantastic opportunity for a pediatric Occupational Therapist. The candidate must possess a minimum of a masters degree in Occupational Therapy and be licensed in the state of California. Experience with the various motor and sensory aspects of a variety of medical conditions and proficiency with occupational therapy assessment is required. Knowledge of the educational and developmental needs of young children is essential. Expertise with assessment of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders is strongly preferred.
The AACE is a non-profit, evaluation-only center, with two clinic sites located in Riverside and San Bernardino. The AACE centers were developed to provide specialized and comprehensive assessment for children referred due to developmental, behavioral, sensory, or other concerns characteristic of ASD symptomatology. A unique feature of AACEs clinical model is a fully integrated team of clinical professionals from the fields of neurology, neuropsychology, occupational therapy, and speech & language pathology that comprise a transdisciplinary team. A transdisciplinary provider team is assigned to each child referred to the center, and tailors the evaluation components to address the functional concerns of the child. *Primary Job Duties*
This position requires the candidate to:
* Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessment.
* Evaluate child performance in a variety of areas including fine motor coordination, oral-motor skills, sensory processing, perceptual motor skills, postural stability, gross motor skills and activities of daily living.
* Interpret current and previous evaluations/tests for integration with patients current diagnoses, strengths, and needs.
* Maintain a safe and orderly assessment area.
* Effectively engage with parents/caregivers during clinical interview and provide feedback to parents/caregivers on childs functioning, needs, and strengths.
* Work both independently and with a transdisciplinary team to assist in diagnosis of referred patients and develop reports with referral(s) and recommendations to ameliorate health/well-being concerns of patients in a timely manner.
* Maintain the highly confidential nature of patient and healthcare information.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
*Clinical Training, Supervision, & Research*
* May serve as a supervisor for occupational therapy students during fieldwork.
* Opportunities to develop research projects are present.
* Potential opportunities to write grants for further research opportunities.
* May contribute to publications and presentations based on individual and collaborative projects.

*Minimum Qualifications*
* Masters Degree of Occupational Therapy
* Valid California Board of Occupational Therapy License
* Valid Registration with the National Board Occupational Therapy Certification Board
* Minimum of 2-years post-licensure experience providing direct assessment.
* Valid CPR Certification
*Desired Qualifications*
* Experience providing occupational therapy comprehensive assessments
* Experience providing occupational therapy services in a pediatric clinical setting
* Experience working with children with ASD and other NDDs.
* Experience or certification in Sensory Integration Disorder/Sensory Processing Disorder
* Experience working as a part of a multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary team.
