Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Occupational Therapist position is available in Evanston, IL, offering a rewarding opportunity to support K-8 students in a contract role through the end of the school year. This position is ideal for a licensed Illinois OT professional passionate about enhancing the educational experience of students by addressing their occupational therapy needs within a school environment.
Key Qualifications:
* Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) License required
* Experience working as an OT in a school setting preferred
* Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 26 students
* Skilled in providing therapy services to children in kindergarten through 8th grade
Position Details:
* Location: Evanston, Illinois
* Contract length: Immediate start through the end of the school year
* Typical hours: 8 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 16 hours until compensatory hours are made up
* Caseload: Approximately 26 students, all served at one site
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive OT assessments, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, collaborating with educators and families, and documenting progress to support student development and success.
