*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner to join our specialized healthcare team. In this role, you will provide expert clinical care to patients with rheumatologic conditions, ensuring comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders. *Duties*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and vital signs measurement.
* Manage and coordinate care plans for patients with autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and osteoarthritis.
* Administer and monitor treatments including biologic therapies, corticosteroid injections, and Botulinum toxin treatments for symptom relief.
* Educate patients on disease processes, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies to optimize health outcomes.
* Collaborate closely with rheumatologists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment protocols.
* Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans.
* Assist in clinical research initiatives related to rheumatologic conditions to support ongoing advancements in patient care.
*Experience*
* Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on rheumatology or related specialties such as internal medicine or orthopedics.
* Demonstrated proficiency in medical office procedures including phlebotomy, IV infusion administration, joint injections, biologic injections
* Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems eClinicalWorks (eCW) for efficient documentation and patient management.
* Experience working with diverse populations including pediatric (experience with children), geriatric (geriatrics), and assisted living or nursing home settings.
* Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation tools such as laboratory testing (including ICD coding standards like ICD-10), imaging techniques (medical imaging), and physiologic assessments.
* Background in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, infection control protocols, and chronic disease management such as hospice & palliative medicine or memory care.
