As thenMRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imagingnprocedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require annin-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology,npharmacology and medical terminology. You will benexpected to support all imaging centers staffed by our organization. Younwill be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioningnand image acquisition/formation. You will be expected to support all imagingncenters staffed by our organization. You will also need to apply your knowledgenof magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior tonadmittance into the MR magnet room. You will:

  • Ensure accurate processing ofnradiology orders
  • Maintain accurate up-to-date recordsnof procedures performed
  • Operate a variety ofnpost-processing/3D workstations
  • Perform accurate image archival
  • Prepare and administer paramagneticncontrast media
  • Sensitively handle physical andnemotional needs of the patient

SalarynRange: $52.22 – $68.84 Hourly

Qualifications

Pleasenensure your resume and application includes all relevant certifications andnlicenses.

  • Licenses
    • Ancombination of the ARRT and CRT – required.  MR certificate required

OR you need

    • A combination of the ARRT and ARMRITn(MR) – required
  • BCLSnfrom American Heart Association or American Red Cross – required
  • Graduatenfrom a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program – required
  • Venipuncture certificate – preferred
  • AA or BS – preferred
  • At least 1 year of MRI experience –npreferred  
  • Siemensnexperience – preferred
  • Abilitynto adapt to advancements and changing technologies
  • Abilitynto identify contraindications for exams
  • Excellentncommunication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills
  • Familiaritynwith clinical billing (IDX codes)
  • Knowledgenof human anatomy and pathology
  • Strongnattention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
  • You will be required to rotate to allnradiology sites staffed by UCLA Health
