*Summary*
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dedicated team at Ridgecrest Post Acute in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for our patients by assisting them with their rehabilitation goals and daily activities.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
* Support patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
* Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the therapy team.
* Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and techniques.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Participate in staff meetings and contribute to care planning.
* Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.
*Qualifications* * Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
* Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
* Strong knowledge of geriatrics and patient care practices.
* Ability to assist with ADLs effectively.
* Familiarity with medical terminology and care plans.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Compassionate approach towards patient care.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
