Job Summary:

We are seeking a Part-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house team at Tampico Healthcare Center, a beautiful skilled nursing facility in Walnut Creek, CA. As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities:

Treat patients as directed by licensed Occupational therapists

Demonstrate a positive attitude and team-building approach with all patients, clients, and team members

Maintain productivity standards as determined by your supervisor and clinical needs

Demonstrate consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations

Treat patients according to treatment plans

Record clinical documentation according to accepted regulatory and professional guidelines

Record daily treatment charges per approved billing guidelines

Instruct families and nursing staff regarding restorative/home programs as directed by staff therapists

Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans

COTA Responsibilities:

Provide recommendations for home modifications and adaptive equipment with training as needed

Ensure all treatment delivered is in accordance with the established plan of care

Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration

Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers

Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care is provided

Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements

Comply with all rules, regulations, and procedures

Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

Requirements:

Associate’s degree or greater in Occupational Therapy Assistant

Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant License

In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

Salary: $45 – $55
