We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapists to join the Acute Medicine Physiotherapy Team. The role involves providing physiotherapy assessment and management for patients very early after admission, continuing throughout their inpatient stay until discharge.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and manage patients across the Acute Medical Unit and inpatient wards
Provide consistent physiotherapy interventions and rehabilitation throughout the patient journey
Demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning with a varied and complex caseload
Prioritise care, discharge planning, and clinical decision-making
Participate in service development and Quality Improvement projects
Contribute to multi-disciplinary collaboration and team working
Weekend working: 1 in 8 weekends
Overnight on-call respiratory rota: 1 overnight/month
Experience Required:
Broad Band 5 rotation experience across core specialties
Advanced assessment and rehabilitation skills
Experience treating acutely unwell patients
Experience in service development and Quality Improvement methodology
