Barts Health Trust is seeking a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to join their award-winning MSK Therapies team. This is a teaching hospital environment with a focus on:
Manual and exercise therapy
Undergraduate and postgraduate education
Research, service development, and clinical audit
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and treat a variety of peripheral and spinal MSK patients through face-to-face and virtual appointments
Supervise Band 5 physiotherapists and students; provide appraisals, teaching, and clinical support
Participate in MSK audits and project management initiatives
Contribute to service development and GP liaison activities
Work alongside Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, and Community Pain clinics
Access in-service training covering joint-specific theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and clinical implementation
Opportunity for external courses and professional development

Support from Band 8 strategic and clinical leaders, Advanced Practice Physiotherapists (APPs), and First Contact Practitioners (FCPs)

Candidate Requirements
HCPC-registered Physiotherapist
Experience in MSK physiotherapy, ideally with Orthopaedic inpatient rotation
Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal assessment and treatment principles
Ability to manage diverse caseloads and provide high-quality patient care
Experience in audit, teaching, and project management desirable
Leadership potential with supervisory responsibilities for junior staff
