Macquarie Physiotherapy is seeking a full-time Physiotherapist to join our experienced and supportive team of eight Physiotherapists and two Exercise Physiologists, complemented by Pilates and remedial massage professionals. With over 100 years of combined clinical experience, we offer an exceptional environment for clinicians looking to grow, learn, and excel in private practice.

We are located just south of Newcastle, perfectly positioned between Lake Macquarie and stunning local beaches. Our strong referral network includes local GPs, medical specialists, and sporting organisations, ensuring a consistently varied and engaging caseload.

About the Role

This role is ideal for a motivated Physiotherapist who wants to develop broad musculoskeletal, sports, and rehabilitation skills. You will work across three large private practice clinics, including access to a fully equipped rehabilitation and commercial gym.

Your caseload will include:
• Sports injuries
• Work-related injuries
• General musculoskeletal conditions
• Orthopaedic rehabilitation
• Hydrotherapy
• Orthotics prescription
• Gym-based rehabilitation

You will be supported by a dedicated administration team and a collaborative group of clinicians who prioritise high-quality, evidence-based care.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Physiotherapist who:
• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Is enthusiastic about manual therapy, exercise-based rehabilitation, and patient education
• Wants to deliver care that focuses on resolving the underlying cause of injury—not just symptoms
• Thrives in a team environment but can confidently work independently
• Is proactive in contributing to education sessions and community or promotional activities

Experience is preferred, but new graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Our transition and mentoring programs support growth from graduate to confident clinician.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload across the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions and ages
• Deliver in-clinic and gym-based rehabilitation programs
• Conduct hydrotherapy sessions as required
• Communicate with GPs, specialists, surgeons, insurers, rehabilitation providers, and sporting organisations
• Contribute to team-based learning through in-services and case discussions
• Uphold high clinical standards and deliver patient-centred care

Essential Requirements

• AHPRA registration
• Appropriate professional indemnity insurance
• Registration or eligibility for registration with SIRA
