Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physiotherapy program
Eligible for—and able to maintain—licensure as a Physiotherapist in the province of Manitoba
Eligible for—and able to maintain—membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s Licence and access to a personal vehicle for travel within Prairie Mountain Health
Current Basic Life Saving (BLS) Certification (completed within the past 12 months, per PMH CPR policy)
Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team
Skilled in assessing, identifying, and treating clients of varying ages and diagnoses
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Internet applications, and general IT systems
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment
Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Ability to exercise independent judgment

Position Summary
The Physiotherapist delivers services in alignment with the Mission, Vision, Values, Strategic Priorities, and policies of Prairie Mountain Health (PMH). This role provides leadership in physiotherapy care, contributing to the assessment, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of client care across multiple settings.
Working according to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics established by the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba, the Physiotherapist collaborates closely with the multidisciplinary team, clients, families, and external agencies across community, acute care, personal care home, and home care environments.
Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Care
Organize, prioritize, and manage an assigned caseload
Apply physiotherapy knowledge and skills to deliver comprehensive, individualized assessment and treatment
Partner with clients to plan, implement, and progress treatment plans while providing education and counseling to clients and families
Delegate appropriate tasks to Rehabilitation Assistants in accordance with treatment plans
Use evidence-based practices and techniques within the physiotherapy scope of practice
Document client care in a timely manner according to PMH policy and professional college guidelines
Communication & Collaboration
Communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support cohesive care
Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, and team meetings as required
Liaise with external agencies as appropriate, following relevant policies and legislation
Program Support & Professional Duties
Promote health promotion, disease prevention, and primary health care principles
Complete statistical reporting within required timelines
Work with management to ensure continuity of services and optimal caseload coverage during vacancies or absences whenever possible
Provide clinical supervision to physiotherapy students or provisional physiotherapists as per professional guidelines
Collaborate with management on the development and implementation of services, programs, and therapy initiatives
Remain current with PMH policies and procedures
Participate in performance reviews and goal-setting to support professional development
Use critical thinking to guide decisions within the scope of practice
Report pertinent information to Therapy Services Management in a timely manner
Perform after-hours or weekend duties as required
