Rehabilitation Consultant – Provisional/Registered Psychologist or Rehabilitation Counsellor (Full‑time, Part‑time 4 days per week available)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload, drawing on support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks.
  • Assist clients with injuries or health conditions to achieve return‑to‑health and return‑to‑work outcomes.
  • Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals and insurers to provide clinical updates and ensure alignment of rehabilitation goals.
  • Work across schemes such as workers’ compensation, compulsory third‑party, life insurance, Comcare and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
  • Conduct comprehensive ADL assessments to evaluate functional abilities and support needs within the home and community, and recommend equipment, home modifications or support services.
  • Prepare timely, high‑quality reports outlining findings, recommendations and clinical reasoning.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology.
  • Provisional or full registration with AHPRA, full ASORC membership or eligibility to obtain.
  • Strong communication skills for building and developing relationships.
  • Excellent time‑management skills, able to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Problem‑solving mindset, confidence to innovate and achieve results.
  • Passion for injury prevention, return to work and associated health benefits.
  • Current driver’s licence and access to personal vehicle.
