About the Role

The Company is in search of an Assistant Vice President, Human Resources to take on a pivotal role as the strategic HR partner for its soon-to-open hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the workforce and culture within this dynamic academic medical center environment. This high-profile position demands an experienced and agile healthcare HR leader with a proven track record in championing excellence in patient care, education, and research. The AVP will be a credible leader and an engaged partner, leading the development and maintenance of a comprehensive HR program that supports the institution's mission, values, and strategic plan.

Key responsibilities for the AVP include oversight and implementation of successful programs for employee relations, counseling, coaching, and various HR functional areas such as change management, performance management, talent management, and engagement strategies. The role requires a candidate with a high degree of integrity, the ability to exercise discretion, and a minimum of nine years of progressive HR leadership in a similarly complex healthcare environment. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred, and the candidate must have SHRM – SCP or SPHR certification. The AVP will also be involved in the strategic and tactical balance of HR service delivery and operational excellence, making this a hands-on leadership role with significant organizational impact.
