Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This travel RN opportunity offers a pivotal role caring for cardiac step-down patients within a busy HVU Unit Expansion. The position is based in Claremont, NH, serving a 48-bed unit focused on cardiology, electrophysiology, and cardiac surgical patients including cardio-thoracic surgical care, pre/post CHF, telemetry, vascular, pulmonary hypertension, and temporary pacers. Roles available with start dates on 5/25 or 6/8, offering a day/night rotation working 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities:

* Manage care for patients with complex cardiac and post-surgical needs in a step-down setting
* Administer and monitor drips such as diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone, nitro, primacor, dobutamine, and dopamine
* Provide hemodynamic and invasive blood pressure monitoring via arterial lines
* Support patients with trachs, laryngectomies, complex wounds, lines, tubes, drains, and central line maintenance
* Monitor and adjust low-dose pressors, vasoactive medications, and inotropes
* Care for patients with telemetry, external pacers, epicardial wires, and TR bands with accurate documentation and attention to acuity
* Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications:

* Minimum 1.5 years recent experience in a cardiac step-down or equivalent acute care setting
* Valid NH RN license or Compact License with proof of residency
* Current BLS and ACLS certification
* Skilled in telemetry, cardiac drips, invasive monitoring, and post-surgical cardiac care
