Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available to support students from PreK through 12th grade in a school setting located in Sapello, NM. This contract role offers 35 hours per week with an immediate start to cover the remainder of the school year. There is potential for an extended school year assignment as well as renewal for the 2026-2027 school year for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

* Provide occupational therapy services to a diverse student caseload from PreK-12th grade.
* Collaborate closely with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Physical Therapists (PTs), and Special Education Teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
* Monitor and document student progress while ensuring compliance with school policies.
* Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with parents and staff.
* Adhere to all regulatory and licensing requirements including maintaining student confidentiality.

Qualifications:

* Valid New Mexico Occupational Therapy license or eligibility to obtain one.
* Ability to pass a Federal Background Check.
* Experience working with pediatric populations in a school environment preferred.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills.
* Knowledge of current best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
