Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students across a school district in LaBelle, FL. This contract position involves delivering occupational therapy services to a diverse student population throughout the district, with locations spanning the entire county. Flexibility and willingness to travel within the county are essential, as school site assignments may change during the summer.
Responsibilities:
* Provide occupational therapy support to students in grades K-12, addressing individual needs and developmental goals
* Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to create and implement effective intervention plans
* Conduct assessments and maintain detailed documentation of student progress
* Adapt therapy techniques to accommodate various learning environments and student capabilities
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary strategies to enhance student outcomes
Qualifications:
* Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
* Experience working in school settings preferred, specifically with K-12 populations
* Ability to travel throughout the county as required to serve multiple school sites
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive educational environment
Location: LaBelle, Florida servicing multiple schools across the entire county with potential site updates in the summer requiring travel
