Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time physical therapist position is available in a school setting located in Hamden, CT, focusing on supporting elementary students with physical therapy needs. This role is ideal for a physical therapist experienced in school-based therapy services, particularly working with children who require assistance in developing gross motor skills and compensatory strategies.
Key Responsibilities:

* Provide physical therapy services to elementary students, addressing gross motor skill development and mobility challenges.
* Deliver compensatory services tailored to each students individual needs to maximize functional independence.
* Support students with limited mobility, including those requiring time in a stander.
* Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to create and implement individualized therapy plans.
* Maintain detailed documentation and compliance with school and contract requirements.

Qualifications:

* Licensed Physical Therapist with credentials to practice in a school setting.
* Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in elementary schools.
* Skilled in gross motor skill development and compensatory service delivery.
* Ability to manage a full-time caseload and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
