Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based therapy, serving PreK through Elementary age groups with a focus on autism caseloads. This position requires dedication to individualized student support and collaboration within an educational setting to enhance developmental and functional outcomes.
Location: Harrisburg, SD
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: May 20, 2026
Schedule: Part-time, 15 hours per week (2 days per week)
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver school-based occupational therapy services to students with autism and related developmental needs
* Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and provide direct therapy to PreK and elementary-aged children
* Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support individualized education programs (IEPs)
* Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
* Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school systems
* Proven experience working with pediatric populations, specifically in PreK to elementary age range
* Familiarity and experience managing autism spectrum disorder caseloads preferred
* Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in an educational environment
