We are seeking a knowledgeable, flexible, and patient-focused *PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)* to join our rehab team. This role offers the opportunity to support patients when coverage needs arise while working in a positive, collaborative, and supportive environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Provide high-quality occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
* Assist patients in improving functional skills, mobility, strength, self-care, and daily living activities.
* Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions according to established goals and OT recommendations.
* Document treatments, progress notes, and patient responses in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with the OT, nursing staff, and other care team members to support coordinated patient care and discharge planning.
* Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence and safety in transitional and home environments.
* Adhere to all professional, ethical, and facility standards while promoting a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
* Provide PRN coverage for weekends, vacations, call-outs, and census changes as needed.
*Qualifications*
* Current *Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)* license in the state of (State).
* Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (AAS or equivalent).
* Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
* Experience in transitional care, skilled nursing, acute care, or rehabilitation setting preferred.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently, follow OT treatment plans effectively, and adapt to changing patient needs.
* Reliable, flexible, and dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
Pay: $35.00 – $37.00 per hour
