*Overview*
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) specializing in Interventional Pain Management to join our dedicated healthcare team. *Duties*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physical examinations focused on pain evaluation and management.
* Perform interventional procedures such as nerve blocks, spinal taps, and botulinum toxin treatments to alleviate pain and improve quality of life.
* Manage medication administration, including injections, IV infusions, and other therapeutic interventions aligned with best practices and clinical guidelines.
* Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
* Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters, procedures, and follow-up care.
* Educate patients on pain management options, medication use, lifestyle modifications, and post-procedure care to promote adherence and optimal outcomes.
* Participate in clinical research initiatives related to pain management innovations and contribute to quality improvement projects aligned with NCQA standards.
*Qualifications*
* Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with certification in pain management or related specialty preferred.
* Demonstrated experience in interventional procedures such as spinal taps, nerve blocks, or botulinum toxin treatments.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to pain management.
* Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; telehealth experience is a plus.
* Critical care experience or hospital medicine background highly desirable; ICU or emergency room experience is advantageous.
* Familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding systems for accurate documentation and billing processes.
* Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to triage effectively in urgent or acute care settings.
* Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health patients, or those with developmental disabilities is beneficial.
* Knowledge of infection control protocols, sterile processing techniques, aseptic methods for procedures like suturing or catheterization.
* Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics or inpatient settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or teaching hospitals. Pay: $115,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
